How do I become a founding member?
An invitation to 100 people to help launch Born to Connect and actively shape what it becomes. Founding membership is US$240 for one year, paid upfront, and renews annually at the same base USD rate while active. Your membership provides funding for the beginning; your presence, ideas, and relationships help create the culture. Join through the tour page, or sign in there to upgrade an existing membership.
What is included in founding membership?
A full year of membership includes the Born to Connect digital book in EPUB and PDF, the complete guided 14-day Connection Challenge with videos and a private journal, and the Pure Project app. As a founder, you also join a personal circle with Ryan and fellow founding members: a welcome gathering, small co-creation conversations, updates as the project unfolds, and a private Founding Circle to share ideas. A Founding Member badge recognises your place in the beginning.
How will my voice help shape the project?
Founders are invited into an intimate, personal collaboration with Ryan and one another. Your ideas, feedback on the app, and relationships can help shape real decisions about the community, connection experiences, and opening chapters of the tour. Small co-creation conversations and the private Founding Circle create space to contribute as the work unfolds. The invitation is to actively help create the culture, rather than simply receive updates.
How much time do I need to give, and can I join from anywhere?
You can take part wherever you live. There is no fixed weekly time commitment or confirmed gathering schedule yet. Contribute in ways that fit your life: join a conversation, share an idea, test the app, or make an introduction when it feels right. The founding group is intended to be personal and actively involved; travelling with the tour is not required.
Do founders need to host or become Connection Catalysts?
No. Founding members help fund the beginning and actively shape the project as architects of culture. Connection Catalysts help others participate and bring more connection into everyday life. Local hosts help bring a gathering or city chapter to life. These are distinct roles, and you can hold more than one if you choose. Founding membership does not require you to host.
What does my founding membership help fund?
Your upfront annual membership helps fund the launch of Born to Connect, the opening chapters of the world tour, and the foundations of the platform. This includes Ryan’s time and living and travel expenses, filming, editing and sharing content, project management, community outreach, and organising gatherings with local hosts. Profits are reinvested into future Pure projects and community activations.
How do annual renewal, cancellation, and refunds work?
Founding membership is US$240 paid upfront for one year and renews annually at the same base USD rate while active. You can manage or cancel renewal through the Stripe customer portal before your next payment; membership access continues until the end of your paid period. Cancelling renewal does not automatically refund the current year. Contact hello@PureProject.org about a refund request; requests are considered individually.
Can I upgrade if I am already a member?
Yes. Sign in from the tour page and choose the founding membership upgrade. Stripe accounts for unused paid time on your existing membership and shows the amount to confirm. The upgrade changes your membership to the annual founding plan. Use the same signed-in account so your existing access and profile stay together.
Can I make an additional founding contribution?
Yes. Choose Make an additional founding contribution on the tour page to enter your own amount in Stripe. It is a separate, one-time payment that helps support the launch and the world tour. It does not create or renew a membership, reserve another founding place, or require a larger commitment from other founders.
Are tour travel and gathering tickets included?
Founding membership includes the member resources and founding-circle experience. Travel, accommodation, and paid tour gathering tickets are not included. Public activations and intimate gatherings will take shape city by city; dates, formats, and any ticket prices will be shared as they are confirmed. You can help shape the project without attending the tour in person.
Can I suggest a city or gathering without becoming a founder?
Yes. Anyone can use Bring the tour to your city to suggest a city, propose a gathering, or offer to host, and anyone can request tour updates. You do not need to be a founding member to express interest. Members can also propose gatherings through the app. Suggestions help shape the route; they do not confirm a tour stop or event.
What would membership include?
Membership is available at the current joining rate and includes the Born to Connect digital book in EPUB and PDF, the complete guided fourteen-day Connection Challenge, and the Pure Project app. Connect through shared experiences, connection challenges, and things you create together. All members receive these core benefits. Founding membership adds a personal invitation to help shape the project.
How much would membership cost?
Membership is US$20 per month at the current joining rate, billed from checkout and renewed monthly. Cancel anytime before your next renewal. All members receive the core membership benefits. Existing members keep their current rate. You can support the journey separately if you would like to contribute more.
Can I participate from another country?
Yes. Being part of the community does not depend on travelling to a filmed gathering. Online gatherings, introductions, and conversation create opportunities to connect wherever you live. Local events grow as Connection Catalysts begin hosting in their communities.
How do I join, and when does it begin?
Become a member for US$20 per month at the current joining rate through Stripe checkout. Your membership begins immediately and renews monthly. The digital book, complete guided Connection Challenge, and Pure Project app are included. Registering interest alone does not create a subscription.
What will the online gatherings be like?
The community comes together through an online welcome, hosted gatherings, conversation, and connection challenges. Ryan shares gathering details with members. You can share your location and time zone at checkout to help shape the schedule.
What are the cancellation and refund terms?
Manage or cancel your membership through the Stripe customer portal. Cancel before your next renewal to stop that charge; access continues until the end of your paid period. A separately purchased challenge has ongoing access and no subscription. For refund requests, contact Ryan personally; refunds are considered individually.
Can I buy the book separately?
Born to Connect: Thriving in an Uncertain World is available in EPUB and PDF together with the complete guided Connection Challenge for US$20 once. Both are included with active membership. Download the book from your challenge experience.
How does the Connection Challenge work?
The complete guided fourteen-day Connection Challenge and Born to Connect digital book are US$20 together, paid once, or included with membership. Explore one day at a time or choose from all fourteen days. Your private in-page journal saves reflections, insights, and next steps. Return to any invitation or journal entry whenever you like. Apply your US$20 book and challenge payment toward your first membership month. If the joining rate is higher, you pay the difference for that month; the monthly rate is confirmed at checkout.
